What rhymes with "agony"?

In a typically treacherous act, my back has declared a fatwa on the rest of my body and has gone out.

Thus, instead of scouring the world for obscure Bulgarian love poetry, I am hobbling around the house going "ow, ow, ow".

Normal Poetry Slamming will resume next week.

Also.

Ow, ow, ow.

  2. Nice work Ramon and Perseus. That's a collaboration up there with Morrissey and Marr.

    Or perhaps Abbott and Costello.

  3. So which is the best comedy duo?

    Hale and Pace
    Abbott and Costello
    Smith and Jones
    Laurel and Hardy
    Morcambe and Wise
    The Two Ronnies
    Cheech and Chong
    Ramon and Perseus
    Simon and Garfunkel
    Other?

  4. But this is still my funniest sketch ever.

  5. As usual Perseus I agree.

In 2nd place comes the Comedy Company's Kung Fu sketch.

    "Yes, Donkey Dick"?

    "It's Grasshopper master"

My connection is too slow to go hunting for it on You Tube.

  6. Dear Ramon,

We all hope your back gets better soon

  7. That was Fast Forward, Wari, I do believe.

  8. Put Martin and Lewis on the list. Mel Smith, even just his face makes me laugh. I wonder how the Not the Nine O'Clock News sketches would hold up, and Kenny Everett.

And can I say how sorry I am to hear Ramon about your back. Unlike the other curs, who completely ignored or mocked, I offer you my heartfelt best wishes and sympathy.

  9. Thank you Melba.

And may I just say the whole "Romeow & Juliowl" schtick Perseus and I had going was an absolute side-splitter.

Yep. Peter Moon and Steve Vizard. Season two. The season I can't find on DVD.

I like the stuff Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, and Jackie Chan did together at Golden Harvest in the 80s. Though, I guess they're more of a trio than a duo.

Witchie, wasn't the black pepper sketch a series of short sketches or a running gag or whatever you call it? I did find this for you.

  11. Obviously squib is not a cur. We were commenting at the same time is all.

  12. Thanks Bob and Alex. It was indeed Fast Forward.

    I stand corrected (once again).

It was piss funny though. The two of them could hardly get through it.

  13. And Ramon, having broken my back in 1992 (compression fracture T12 and L1) I am entirely sympathetic to your plight.

Back pain is in its own league.

  14. Mahogany.

It's the best I could come up with.

    It sort of rhymes.

    Sounds similar?

    Sounds not dissimilar?

  15. Since I'm doing requests, this is for you Wari.

In things unrelated, does anyone think that Leigh Sales new hair cut makes her head look too triangular? And do ABC news readers wear their own clothes or are they dressed by a wardrobe department? That thing she was wearing tonight looked like it was fashioned from a black plastic garbage bag.

  16. Thanks Alex.

What Witchie said. In a platonic heterosexual way, of course.

Not that there's anything wrong with man love of course, it just isn't my bag.
