Breaking news from the weeekend

*National Party candidate holds safe National Party seat of Gippsland. Dennis confidentially predicts the triumphant return of The Rodent.

*Fat, smug self-promoter Les Twentyman fails to win safe Labor Party seat of Kororoit. Much rejoicing at Lenin House. Mrs Insertnamehere sums up Mr Twentyman as "a stupid dickhead".

*Return of Doctor Who. Kylie Minogue fails to sing and later falls to painful death. Further rejoicing at Lenin House.

* Cat described as "moody, depressed".

I laughed and laughed at the Queen running down the stairs in her curlers with the corgis.

Les can now resume his role as default youf worker when any policy comment of limited helpfulness is required.

Perseus, that was a good scene. Almost as funny as Ms Minogue falling to said painful death.

Catlick, Less is now claiming he was being stalked. Because pointing out he didn't actually live in the electorate he was seeking to represent is like, OMG, totally creepy.

The only thing worse than that fat fuck was seeing rather too much of Phyl-relevant Cleary,

We're about to have our first brawl Catlick.

I have utmost respect for Phil Cleary. One of the finest men I've ever met. Top bloke, and I have more respect for him than just about any other 'figure' in Australia.

Fight, fight, fight.

My money's on Catlick.

I bet she fights dirty.

(Pre-emptive strike....)

I bet she fights dirty, too. Like all Catholics.

With the utmost respect, and in deference to our friendship, I will merely note that Phil brings to mind those solitary indigent chaps portrayed in 'Punch'. The ones in a frayed suit carrying a sandwich board with a correct, if not obvious slogan writ large 'pon it. It's a living I guess.

That's Phil Adams , silly.

See, that's why we're friends.

In my line of work I've dealt with many 'figures'. No 'A' listers at all, and I'm not friends with any of them and only really dealth with them on a pro-level, but the following I thought were mighty fine people who highly impressed me:

Phil Cleary
Susan Alberti
The Gandel Family
Max Walker
The Silvagnis
Kevin Sheedy
Lyn Allison

The following are utter cunts:

Samuel Johnson (double-dose of cunt)
Jimmy Barnes (triple-dose)
Peter Russell-Clarke (quadruple-dose)

As I observed a few months ago, that facelift is dreadful. Combine that with her wooden acting and lack of short shorts, and you wonder why the BBC didn't save some pounds and employ her doppelganger from Madame Tussauds.

Yes, but the doppelganger charges twice as much.

Something to do with it looking more human, it seems.

I thought Kylie was alright last night. I prefer her acting to singing, that's for sure.

That perm was dreadful.

But it paled in comparison to the lack of expression on her face for most of the show.

Given she was required to go "eek" at the special effects and not fall over the props - that's not a big ask.

Also.

This was the second time we've seen murderous angels.

OMG - I'm turning into Hambo!!

She was no more plastic than your average Dalek.

Droll, droll.

MY (typical Port Moresby) weekend consisted of some weird motorbike show at the Car Club on Saturday, which was great fun. I won a mobile phone. Big deal I know, but it's good to win shit.

Saturday night losing the annual trivia night at the Aviat Club by HALF a point. I got there late so they blamed me.

Sunday we (me and the small person) spent the day at Loloata Island (we don't have winter remember). Sunday night the love of my life arrived back from Manila and we went out for Japanese and then spent a romantic evening at home.

Today's a nightmare because it's school holidays and keeping my daughter occupied while I try to get some work done is a serious challenge.

Thanks for letting me share that with you. Like you had a choice.

Dude, she was shocking. And not in the good way.

David Tennant, however, can park his Tardis under my ... erm ... ahh, I'm no good at this. Let's just say I like the way he combines his Converse and a suit and leave it at that, shall we?

and leave it at that, shall we?

That's probably for the best, EMS

Dude, she was shocking. And not in the good way.

Perhaps she was shocked by the power?

Or she was spinning around?

Or maybe she just wanted the Doctor to drive her locomotion?

That's me done. Stop while you're behind, I always say.

Ramon Insertnamehere said...

Well, she certainly left my stomach spinning around, Boogey.

In a PJ Harvey sort of way, Ramon?

No.
