I much prefer Screamin' Jay Hawkins to CCR. I had the pleasure of seeing the late, great Screamin' Jay Hawkins live in Byron Bay many years ago. Shortly after that concert, he managed to literally take the money (both his and the support acts) and run back to Hawaii.
